Nikolas received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2022, and a BS in Mathematics from New College of Florida in 2017. For his graduate thesis, he analyzed discontinuous differential equations and provided numerical evidence to back his analysis. His previous work experience includes data preprocessing for Density Functional Theory at the Oakridge National Laboratory and algorithm development for Blind Signal Separation at the Mind Research Network. Nikolas’s current work at VSI involves estimating three dimensional object position and orientation over time from video files.
